GZDOOM FORUMS DRIVER
Now what crappy message is this? Without trying it ever on my Pi3 and after a some googling I found few poeple that found a way to enable the driver by simply removing the pi-check here:īut the rest, seems not that much clean to me, so I bring some questions.ġ) What is bassicaly better for raspberry pi to maximize performace? The OpenGL or OpenGLES?Ģ) What are the memory reguirments needed for OpenGL driver to work? My Pi1 has 512 Mb and I can allocate like 448 Mb video ram just for GPU. So I was thinking again and realized that there is the new experimental OpenGL driver!Įven though I have Raspberry Pi 3, I wanted and worked on my RPi1 but when I tried to enable it, I found that there was a code-check for Pi1 which does not let you enable it due " memory requirements?". The thing is the OpenGL apps by default do not run, and raspberry pi wants OpenGLES which OpenArena has, but nor GZDoom, so I tried to run in OpenGL software mode (+vid_renderer 0), and got like 1 frame per 2s (compared to default where i had 1 frame per minute). Right, I've seen this before when I was trying OpenArena. (Had to compile without FMOD, so OpenAL can take charge instead, the paramter for CMAKE is on zdoom wiki compilation page).Īfter 2-3 minutes after execution I got first menu screen! (cpu burning at 100% whole time) In short its heavily moderned and modified doom engine supporting 3D, and various things.Īfter whole day of compiling I succeeded!

ver.) which is a fork of fork of original doom game source.

So I tried to compile a GZDoom (last dev. I couldn't decide in which category I should put this, so if any moderator knows better please feel free to move it.
